What's your favorite month to visit Mackinac Island?

It's a challenge to pick just one month, but I'd say September is my favorite month to visit the island. Crowds are light and the flowers and gardens are still colorful. Some mornings might even require a light jacket (at least for this Florida native).

We generally visit in July or August, but made one trip in October -- I have to say the October trip was great.... even though it was a bit cold/rainy, the Island was so quiet, it was a wonderful way to escape!

This year, I'm hoping we can make it for the Lilac Festival, so I can add June to my list of months!

May, when the tulips are in bloom and the crowds are still down.
Definitely July!  Living in South Arkansas, it gets hot and humid here!  Even though it's peak season on Mackinac, it is a great place to beat the heat!  I love staying at Main Street Inn & Suites when I visit!

Spring for good hotel rates!  Fall for quiet.  August for great weather!

That is a wonderful hotel esp if you have a suite!  Pat

Late August/Early September is when my family visits.  We love it still being summer on the island without the crowds.
