"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! You KNOW I will steal several of these without the slighest bit of guilt, right? So much fun - can't wait for the whole family to get there in June! Watch out, Geary House - the Forresters are coming!"
"I spoke with Jim at Carriage Services, and he wanted me to call him on Thursday, after we figured out which Great Lakes flight we would be on. I told him flight reserved for 6 p.m., but he seemed to think we could make that last regular flight of…"

Good morning my friend. I'm sending our guests your way on starline this AM while I "hold down the fort" literaly. Enjoy the tweeet up this weekend along with the parade. I'll try to catch some on the webcam. Soon we will have a pecan ball at the Fort Tearoom. Danile is expecting us :)
Isn't it fun to share this spot with company? We do need to talk about those "big"shopping trips to the mainland. I did that the first few years, now, our family stops in Gaylord and fills up on paper products and fresh meat when they drive up. Helps a lot :) By the way, our little Mackinaw City has the best price and quality ground beef and bacon in the whole area, surprised ? me too but that is where we go for those TWO items and our local newspaper. Maybe we can catch a sunny day for a visit with Daniel at the Fort Tea Room this week. It is a special week for you as you enter the best decade of your life :)
Brenda - it's great to have found you as well! You are exactly where my wife and I hope to be once our daughter gets a bit older! I delight in finding other fans of the island and reading their experiences. Maybe I'll see you on the island. I visit a month from today!
