Summer passing all too quickly

In the spring, we set our Mackinac bird feeder in the backyard and planted some geraniums around it. Now that summer is seemingly coming to an end, I thought I'd provide another shot of the feeder.

Kid-Friendly Activities on Mackinac Island

Now that my daughter is getting a bit older - all of three in June - I decided it was time to put together a list of kid-friendly activities on Mackinac Island. There are some things included we all have experienced, but hopefully this list includes a few new activities you can do on your next visit.

Postcard of the week

While Grand Hotel certainly has a long porch, this depiction is just a bit exaggerated. According to the hotel, the porch is actually 660 feet long - which still makes it the longest porch in the world and one of the true landmarks of Mackinac Island.
