Round Island Lighthouse is the favorite!
Round Island Lighthouse was voted favorite lighthouse by the attendees of the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival which was held the week-end of October 9th in Alpena, Michigan.
This distinction makes Round Island Lighthouse the featured lighthouse for the 2010 Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival slated to be held in October in Alpena.

Weather permitting, the next Open House will be July 10, 2010. Details will be posted on the Society web site - www.roundislandlightmichigan.com, as they become available. Climbing to the top of the tower is quite the experience! Hope you can make it!

That is awesome Pat! With all the lighthouses that surround the Great Lakes, Round Island Lighthouse is the best and my favorite as well. We have not been able to make the tour of the lighthouse that the Boy Scouts hold every year yet, but sure hope one day we will be able to.
