Mackinac Island Blog

Visitor Information, News, Guide, Videos, Photos, History

Each year Mackinac Island Recreational Development produces a calendar featuring photographs submitted by island residents and visitors. While the calendar comes out six months prior to the new year so visitors can buy them during their summer visits on the island, they are also available online through their webpage.

My calendars arrived a few weeks ago. Once again it's filled with great photos that help keep Mackinac on my mind all year. By the way, the pictures for the 2011 calendar will be chosen at the island Winter Festival in February.
You can order the calendar online at http://www.mackinac.com/mird/index.html.
Calendars from previous years are also available on their website.

Joyce, I know what you mean. I keep one here at work and one at home. I'm looking at the Huron with it's Christmas Tree right now!

A small correction. The 2011 pictures were picked this year. The pictures for the 2012 calendar will be picked during the next Winter Festival the weekend of February 6th.
