If you've ever wondered what it took to get 'Somewhere In Time' to the big screen, I highly recommend purchasing a copy of the
Collector's Edition of the movie. This version, released in 2000, not only includes the feature in it's original widescreen presentation, but a wonderful documentary that chronicles the making of this Mackinac Island classic.

The documentary provides a glimpse inside the production, including the fascinating tidbit about the scene in which Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) discovers and is captivated by the picture of Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour) hanging in the Hall of History. During rehearsals, the picture was kept covered, so Christopher Reeve could not see it. Only on the actual camera roll was the cover removed. The scene in the movie is the first take, so the look on Mr. Reeve's face is his actual reaction to seeing the hauntingly beautiful photograph.
This well made documentary is loaded with information that fans of Mackinac Island and 'Somewhere In Time' will surely enjoy.
The DVD is available from
Amazon for $9.99 or less.
