The flight to Mackinac Island

After a good day of travel, we boarded the next to last portion of the trip in St. Ignace - the flight to Mackinac Island. Great Lakes Air was making frequent round trips as they were taking construction workers off the island and quite a few residents...and visitors, back. Here's the entire five minute flight.

Hardly see anyone except at lunchtime and then after school and work in the afternoon. The upside is we get to spend time speaking with all the residents and business owners who are here year round.

I won't be able to make it up for the Festival, but sure look forward to being on the Island in May and June. I'm also looking forward to reading the blogs and seeing all the pictures that will come out of this weekend. Have a great stay on the Island, and I'll see you there in June!
